Application Support

Access to Work
I have supported over 200 people with their Access to Work applications. Sometimes you don’t know what you need, or can’t identify your access barriers. If you’re in a job or are self employed and need access support to do the application these sessions are for you. I have developed a system of 3 sessions that include a brainstorm session to identify your access barriers and what you need, a session where we do the application together and then a session where we do a business plan, gather the information needed in advance and a short script so you will be ready ahead of your assessment with the advisor.
Please note this system has been developed due to its efficiency and I do not provide free documentation or information ahead of time, it’s a collaboration and collaborative process.

PIP
I help clients with PIP (Personal Independent Payments) to understand the questions and fill in the answers. Citizens advice bureau offers a free service and so do some other charities. I am not able to offer a free service but can work with you on an application over 3-6 sessions depending on your needs throughout the process. My clients have felt supported and empowered in understanding how the process works and to identify their access barriers.

Small funding Applications
Please note due to my own access barriers I cannot support with budgets or funding applications for larger amounts than £1500. I do support smaller funding applications for funding to cover continuing professional development, attending conferences, art opportunities and any other support in the arts.
If I feel that the application you have brought to me is beyond my capacity I shall always signpost you to recommended access support who I know are supportive and share the same values as myself. (Neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming).
-
Developing your ideas
I support artists across all fields to develop their ideas into a fully formed idea ready for them to start the application process for funding. Whether it’s an idea you’ve had for a long time, or an idea you’ve only thought about recently and require someone to listen and help you expand and progress. I offer you resources, signpost you to more ideas and help clarify your ideas so that you can take it forward into an application. These sessions particularly suit neurodivergent artists who are prone to procrastination or getting confused with too many ideas at once!
-
Collaboration
If you are looking for a collaborator or someone to bounce ideas off, I can support you with thinking about who you might need as a collaborator, and who you might want for your partners to support your project. It’s important you are supported to feel able to express you ideas in an environment that is relaxed and is filled with ease, care and compassion. These sessions are both Neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming.

If I am at capacity...
Please note I am sometimes at capacity due to my PhD research and my client load for that week. This can change time to time and you will be put on a waiting list until I can next see you. Waiting lists are often 2-3 weeks long and no more.
